Orlando Day 1: Magic Kingdom

We arrived in Orlando late at night on November 7.  This was at the airport.

Nickie's family arrived earlier in the day and none of the kids knew that anyone else would be coming.  It was so fun to watch them see each other and learn that we'd be spending the next 3 days together.  They were so excited.

At our hotel in the morning on our way to Magic Kingdom. (Nice moves Catherine :)).

Waiting for the big people so we could head to the park.

Hooray! We made it!

Main Street was so pretty all decked out for Christmas!
The first stop was to meet the Mouse!

Emma LOVED Catherine and started calling her "her best cousin."

Emma meeting Tinker Bell.

Cinderella taught Emma how to pose like a princess.

The boys were getting sick of the princess stuff, but LOVED the Pirates of the Caribbean.

The castle lighting and firework show was awesome!  Emma loved watching Tinkerbell zip line down from the top of the castle to start the fireworks after she'd made a wish that there would be more.  She totally thought Tinkerbell remembered her from earlier in the day and granted her wish.  It was perfect!

At the Mickey's Dance Party

My favorite childhood Disney memory is of the Main Street Electrical Parade.  I'm so glad we got to watch it with the next generation of kids who will maybe one day take their own kids.

I don't know if any of the kids loved the parade as much I did, but they were all great at humoring me, and I was happy when Riley told me later that that was the exact same parade that we saw when we went to Disneyland 4 years ago.
One final picture of the Magic Kingdom on our way out the door

There was way too much to do at the Magic Kingdom and not nearly enough time to get it all done in one day, but that will just give us a good reason to plan another trip.  We were exhaused heading back to the hotel, but committed to another day of fun tomorrow.
