Today we needed to take Sparks to the vet to get a urinalysis to monitor is bladder problem. His vet isn't particularly close to our house, but it is very close to the cemetery where Sooty is buried. We also wanted to go visit him today since they were having an Easter open house for the families. Rather than make two trips to the same place we just decided to take Sparks with us to the cemetery. This is something that we'd never done before, but it ended up working out okay and Sparks handled the stress of it pretty well. The flowers and candle votives were provided by the cemetery. Aren't they pretty?

We really love this cemetery. Their pet memorial garden is so peaceful and pretty. It is a very nice place to be able to go and remember our Sweet Sooty. |

Later in the afternoon we headed off to Salem for an Easter party with the Andersons.

After the Easter egg hunt Kristin's mom helped the kids decorate rolls they had made earlier to look like bunnies. They were very cute.

We had a fun night hanging out in Salem with the family and realized that this was a very unusual week because between the two of us we managed to see all 11 of the nieces and nephews as well as visit Sooty. That very rarely happens and made it kind of a special week. Here are a few more pictures from the Salem activities before signing off.

This was the view of the mountains as we were pulling out of the driveway to come home. Very beautiful! |
Good Night,
