Lisa and Kristin's Blog: Welcome to our new blog!

Hi! This is Lisa. Kristin has been on a road trip to Iowa for 3 days now and the kids (cats) and I thought it would be fun to start a blog as a surprise for Kristin's return so she can catch up on all the fun (boring is probably more accurate) things she missed around here while she was gone. Maybe, if you're lucky, we'll keep it up beyond that and you can check back to see pictures of her trip as well as whatever other random things we do. If nothing else, you can always come and see cute pictures of our cats... (hey don't laugh... we like to look at cute pictures of your kids).

With that said, here is Annie helping me get the blog started.

So far while Kristin's been gone she's missed out on meeting both the home alarm system repair man and the plumber who replaced the water heater. She also missed the sound of the money sucking vortex as it passed through our house to pay said repair man and plumber. (I'm sure she'll be very sad about that.) She also missed me getting mad at the Comcast people and downgrading our Internet service after the promotional offer we were on ran out and I got the full price bill (which is so far making the creation of this blog somewhat frustrating). I may need to reconsider that decision.

Let's see, she also missed coming home on Thursday to find that both neighbors on either side of us had mowed their lawns leaving our house to look like a jungle. I managed to get the front mowed to keep up, but the weeds and backyard are still totally out of control. Maybe I'll be able to make some improvements on that this week. Gee, I sound like a really big pessimist, she probably hasn't missed my whining about all of these things. She did however miss the arrival of our first daffodil. Isn't it pretty?

I heard on the news that it is going to get warm enough this week for the tulips to bloom so hopefully by the time Kristin gets back next Friday there will be a beautiful flower garden welcoming her home. We'll see. Here are a few other random pictures from this week.
